Is Teenage Pregnancy Cool?

Many teenage girls think it is kinda cool to get pregnant and carry a baby when they are still in their school days! But is it really so or are they just putting up a face saving after getting pregnant? All the teenage girls who talk about being happy with their teenage pregnancy always confess that the pregnancy was unplanned. If something is cool and exciting why not plan for it? The truth is they know that it is not cool and their lives and ambitions turned upside down by getting pregnant in their teens.

First of all, the body of a teenage girl is not fully developed to always support a full term and healthy pregnancy. Complications with teenage pregnancy may even mar the chances of the girl getting pregnant ever again in her life!

Statistics show that the kids of teenage girls are more prone to be involved in teenage pregnancies themselves when they grow up. Secondly the kids born from teenage pregnancies perform poorly at academics, feel neglected, get into drugs and often end up with jail times.

An unplanned teenage pregnancy forces the girl to miss studies or perform very poorly at school. As a result chances of a good college education are foiled forcing the girl to take up poor paying jobs making the young family to live in poverty for ever.

Many times the dad of the baby in a teenage pregnancy dumps the girl and moves on taking no responsibility of the baby or the mother. The "lovers" break up and start hating each other. What would a baby be like who grows up in the mom's womb while she is crying all the time and feeling angry at what her boyfriend did to her? A baby should be the result of a loving relationship.

Some parents of teenage girls who get pregnant act even worse. They simply throw their teenage daughters out of their homes when they hear about her getting pregnant in her teenage! Such teenage girls who are left to fend for themselves when they are pregnant end up on the street at the mercy of the pimps who quickly exploit them and force them into prostitution for ever!

A baby in the family brings joy that knows no bounds. A teenage pregnancy because it is unplanned and untimely, may bring unhappiness, misery, fights in the family, break ups of loving couples and even tough decisions like abortion.

Those people who misguide young girls telling them that teenage pregnancy is fine are horribly wrong and cause so much harm to these young girls who take their advice.

Nature has a time for everything in life. Teenage is the time to have fun and to prepare for a better life ahead. After one is twenty, a girl's body is mature enough to have a healthy baby. She can then also decide on her own what is good for herself, her baby and her family. The teenage is one of the best periods of life that of course never comes again. So do not spoil it by forcing yourself to become a mother when you have still a lot to enjoy yourself as a young lady!
